Working With T.O.U.R.S.

From its foundation in 1987 the network has steadily grown into an organization of 42 different companies representing 26 countries and six continents. Each year T.O.U.R.S. members send over 200,000 runners to over 60 events worldwide, ranging from short distances of less than 10kms to Marathons (42.195kms) and Ultra-Marathons.

Members pride themselves in always delivering a high level of customer satisfaction offering access to the best travel services for the world’s best running events. T.O.U.R.S works closely with the race directors of the world’s leading events and many of its members can guarantee entries to the most popular, oversubscribed races including all six of the Abbott World Marathon Majors.

Our members offer a variety of travel packages to suit different budgets and needs. Members co-operate with each other regularly on many worldwide tours, leading to greater efficiencies and savings for clients, and because a number of our members are race organisers as well as travel agencies we also support one another’s own events.

The T.O.U.R.S. Philosophy

  1. We strive always to operate to the highest professional and ethical standards, and demand this from every individual member of the association.
  2. We believe in the concept of partnership, both with each other and the event organizations with whom we contract on an individual basis.
  3. We seek to offer a first-class service to our clients, with personal commitment to each client and fully-tested back-up systems in the event of anything going wrong, such as medical emergencies or acts of terrorism or force majeure. In this way we offer re-assurance to our clients and event organizers that we are fully prepared to manage unexpected events.
  4. We seek to offer clients the best travel services to the world’s best events, and to offer a variety of travel packages to suit all budgets.
  5. We aim to offer clients a memorable experience at every event, ensuring repeat custom, positive feedback to other potential clients and increasing the underlying popularity and strength of the sport of marathon running in an increasingly challenging and competitive sports market.
